As usual, I haven't had much time to update this blog, but for those interested, I have an article up at King's Review on the discovery of artworks in the Munich apartment of Cornelius Gurlitt last year. I wrote it immediately following the revelation of events in the media, though I think most of the points I make in the article still stand. Jonas Tinus, a PhD candidate in Social Anthropology, has written an excellent and more theoretical response to my piece, which can also be found on King's Review, linked at the end of my article.
