Bakeries, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn

Bensonhurst isn't pretty at all, but it has a lot of pathos. It's a busy suburb that feels forgotten by the rest of the city. There are dated Italian pastry shops filled with elaborate cakes and the huge roads are clogged with traffic. Above, on the afternoon I visited, storm clouds gathered.
